The Vice-President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has donated a high-powered ultrasound diagnostic system to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) hospital.

The donation of the medical item was in response to a request from the management of the hospital for assistance from the Vice-President.

The Central Regional Minister, Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, presented the equipment on behalf of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

The Vice-Chancellor of UCC, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, received the item on behalf of the management and staff of the hospital.

He expressed the gratitude of the staff and management of the University to the Vice-President for her kind gesture.

Prof. Boampong, who was excited by the donation, said the equipment had come at the right time, noting that such support was critical to delivering quality care.

For his part, the Central Regional Minister disclosed that the donation was to help bring comfort to patients at the hospital and urged the hospital staff to maintain the machine.
